Friends of All Saints

Who are the Friends of All Saints?

The Friends are a group of local people who want to preserve and protect the church and its grounds. They value the beautiful church and Priest House and raise money for them, principally through regular coach trips from Doddinghurst to places of interest. To give a flavour of these trips - the most recent trip was to Wimpole Hall in Cambridgeshire, a trip to Ely is planned for the Autumn and the Friends are also looking forward to lunch at the Swan in Lavenham around Christmastime.

How do the Friends of All Saints help the Church?

Over the years the Friends have contributed to various projects, including the restoration of the church organ, the renovation of Priest House, the construction of the War Memorial and the conservation of the ancient processional cross. They also give financial support to maintenance work in the churchyard.
