CONCERTS ALL SAINTS’

A really big thank you to everyone who played a part in the recent concert. The Choir for their fantastic singing, Michael for arranging it, Michael and Gill for giving hospitality to the choir, Chris, Val, Terrie and Thelma for organising the refreshments, Bill for the programme and recording, all the stewards and to everyone who came. The church once again looked delightful in the candlelight and the Choir were very impressed with the ambience of the venue and the friendliness of the people.

Just under £2,000 was raised over the series of four concerts. Further concerts are being planned for the New Year. Please watch for notices, posters and watch this site for further information.

NEW - 14/11/08

Classical Music - What is it all about?

The first block of the 10 week course has now started presented by Mike Frith. A donation of £60.00 for the 10 week course towards Priest House Fund is suggested so that this can be Gift Aided.

The course gives an opportunity to learn more about listening and understanding classical music. It will assume no prior knowledge, but will aim to deepen your enjoyment whatever your previous knowledge and experience.

To register your name please ring Michael at the Rectory on 821366.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE CONFIRMED?

I am hoping to start a new series of confirmation classes in the New Year. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested. We will try to arrange a time that is suitable for you.

Coming to the classes does no commit you in any way to being confirmed if you do not wish to be. Being confirmed is not just about being able to take communion, but about growing in faith and love as we learn more about God and the way he helps us in our everyday lives.

The course is also suitable for anyone who would like to explore the Christian faith a bit more, whether they are already confirmed or not. It is an exciting journey, and we will cover topics like: Can we know God? What did Jesus do? The Bible – the world’s best-seller, and Prayer.

Please contact Rev’d Gill on 821366 if you want to know more or are interested in coming.
